The massage technician has knowledge about hygiene, human anatomy, physiology and pathology. He also has knowledge in osteopathy and various parts of Chinese medicine including the points of intervention, the main meridians. He also knows about sexology and various help relations. The practitioner of technician generally makes a regular or specific massage, which means that, within the limits of time allowed, he shall accomplish a general massage of all the members and areas of the body that the client or beneficiary will indicate or specify. Usually, the beneficiary, which is not always aware of all the existing massages or techniques, will let the choice and the responsibility of doing so to the technician or practitioner. The practitioner can not generally apply all the techniques related to a specific massage; he must take into account the physical condition of the beneficiary. You must count sixty to seventy minutes for an adequate intervention. The technician or the practitioner has generally 2,200 hours of course to his credit. N.B.: First aid lessons will be offered at the autumn 2008 and will be obligatory.
