An educational entertainment experience where participants learns some basics about the oyster and the local industry and how to shuck an oyster. After some story telling and songs the participant recites a pledge followed by eating a shucked oyster and a shot of shine to become an honorary islander and is presented a certificate to say so upon completion of the event. This or any combination of the previously described steps makes up the Shucked-in experience.
