Computer software for the simulation of electrical transients occurring on power systems and associated installations, using a 3D full-wave electromagnetic solution. Example applications would be the modeling of lightning strikes to substations, power plants, transmission lines, telecommunications facilities and industrial plants. Other examples would be the study of switching surges on power systems and short-duration fault conditions. Applied waveforms are specified in the time domain, automatically converted to and analyzed in the frequency domain, then the response automatically converted back to the time domain. The software accounts for variations in electrical characteristics of the soil as a function of frequency.
